background problem

OK I've figured out everything else in regards to upgrading and keeping my theme, except the way I used background image on old version does not seem to work for this version.

Can someone please tell me which part I edit so that I can use a background image instead of the grey part (running down the left and right sides and footer) in the main part of my gallery. I want it to be the same as the custom header background. I know it should be so simple
