User galleries and categories

I did search for this answer, but it's a hard topic to research because it brings so many responses in a search.  If a user uploads an image to a category, does it also show up in his User Gallery automatically?  Or will it have to be uploaded to both places in order to show in both places?  I think I've been told that this does not happen and that the latter is true, but I just want to be sure before I tell a client this.

Asking for support on a board that is named "General discussion (no support!)" is not a bright idea. Did you read the documentation that comes with Coppermine? Short answer to your question is "no".

Seriously, why are you so ugly to people who ask questions?  I didn't ask for support, there is no problem to be fixed, it's just a question.  Does it do this or does it not?  Really, I understand this is open source and all, but you have a really rotten attitude on this forum.  I DID read the documentation and was unable to find a clear answer to the question.  My apologies for the apparent inconvenience.
