My site log-in password has been changed now my photogallery links won't work

I have taken over the adminstration of a web site.  To secure the website I had to ask the web hosters to change the login password which is also the database password.  Now the lnks to the photogallery (installed by the previous web administrator) show an error message when they are clicked on.  Do I need to change something in photogallery to make it recognise the new password?
