batch adding from a folder that contains non image files

I'm trying to batch add from an existing folder structure.
The trouble is there are non image files in the folders along with the images.
It's not pratical to remove the unwanted files, so, is there a way to get CM to ignore anything that is not an image file?

The error I get is "Only files with the following extensions are accepted : " when I click OK to the "select a directory" page
