why isn't my gallery showing exif info?

Hello,
I have CPG 1.4.18 installed, and for some reason it's not showing the exif info for photos.  I've had other installations of CPG where it worked on this same server, but for this installation it's not working.

On my PC, there is exif info such as camera used, etc. but it's not showing in CPG.
I have it set to read exif data in GPG admin, and have selected some exif elements to display in the "manage exif display" menu.  Why wouldn't it be working?

That image doesn't seem to have any EXIF data in the first place.

But it does.  I can see it on my computer.
