[Solved]: Make custom field in user profile a hyperlink?

Is there a way to make a custom user profile field display as a hyperlink when viewing a member's profile?
I ran a search, but couldn't find anything relevant for 1.4

In my gallery, web addresses are stored in 'user_profile3' and the websites people enter just come up as plain text.
user_profile6 is being used for biographies, so I can't change that to websites.

I'm sorry if this is straightforward or covered elsewhere; I'm new to all of this.
