Automatic Albums Update

Hi,

I was looking for this feature but it doesn't seem to exist yet

Basically, I own a huge collection of graphs created by a certain device on a daily basis. Those graphs are put automatically to folders named by the creation date. Is it possible to make a script/plugin that would automatically (or by single button press) add pictures to designated album? What I want is unsupervised autogallery

Maybe the Mass-Import plugin could be adjusted to ignore already existing files and just add new ones. I don't know if this ever will become a core feature.

I was thinking maybe about script that could be run from the cron/scheduler? I have total control over my server...But yes, ignoring files already in Gallery would be good as well.
