Permissions category

I have set permissions on albums.
A registered user can see all categories, permissions on albums or no permissions.
Is it possible to change the permissions on categories?
They can only see their "own" categories

User1 has permissions on albums in category Family 1.
User1 has no permissions on albums in category Family 2.

User1 must not the the categories with no permissions. (Family2)

You cannot set permissions on category level in cpg1.5.x.
