mod: search for comments??

hi there!

i'd like to have the possibility to search not only the keywords for each picture, but also the comments and maybe the authors of the comments.

that way everyone could search for comments by "aaalexx", or for pictures containing "bla" in the comments...

can anyone help me doing that? i tried it on my own, but i have to admit that my mysql-knowledge isn't that good...

i'm sorry, i just didn't realize that the old board has been imported *stupid me* that's why i reposted the question...

but i don't quite understand websteve's answer to it:

Usually it works fine if you want to search in comments. That's standard.
You can use opeaators like "and" "or" "not" - also if you try to search for the first part of a word like "keyword1*" works.

I made this in my album and put a user defined field "author" to the albums.

does he say that it should work? at least at my installation it doesn't work...

you're right - it doesn't work out-of-the-box. I'm sure there has been a fix for this on the old board. Maybe you could do a search and report back here if you find a fix? Thanks
