can't install plugin

Hi,
I'm trying to install the recaptcha plug in.
I go to "manage plug ins"
Browse to the zip file, hit upload and nothing happens. it doesn't show on the "installed plugin" part of the screen.
What am I doing wrong?

You will have to place the recaptcha files in the plugins folder using some other method.

Make sure you have the keys from Google before you start.
