Dreamhost server update: Ubuntu 26.04 Resolute Raccoon with MySQL 8.4

[CSss]

Hello all,

My server, Dreamhost updated their software to Ubuntu 26.04 Resolute Raccoon with MySQL 8.4. It caused me not to be able to get into the administrative side of Coppermine and caused my popup windows (for larger images once the the thumbnail is clicked) to lag both on the desktop and mobile versions of my site.

Dreamhost is moving me to a server that isn't upgraded yet but the writing is on the wall.

What do you all suggest?

Thank you!

What version of CPG are you using? 1.6.30 should support PHP 8.4. A link would help diagnose problems. If you are running the latest release then it could be a theme or plugin causing your problem but very hard to say without seeing your site.

Thank you so much for responding to my question! I'm on Coppermine 1.6.29. My website is not geared to the general public but towards theatre and textbook researchers.

My website address is:

Thank you so much!

Hello-I upgraded the Coppermine software to 1.6.30 and I'm still getting hang ups when I go to the administrative side of my Coppermine website. The images still load slowly on the mobile side. The desktop is running better but no where near the speed before the server update. What's the next steps? Thank you!

To check this isn't theme related can you try accessing your admin on https://www.craigphoto.com/Gallery/?theme=curve

I think you're a genuis! It seems to work so much better with a change in the theme. I'm jamming right now, I'll change it when I come up for air and let you know either way. I'm so grateful for you to have helped me, thank you, thank you!!
