It would be nice to have some extra options under "The content of the main page".

For example a block to put text in (welcome message or news) and a block that shows the latest posts on the forum or a  block that shows who is online.

Wait for CPG 1.2.0 - this is there in it - See my website, scroll down and "Are you lost" block is what I am refering to....
