private albums by default

i have been using copppermine for my own use as a place all my friends can view pictures. i have created a new gallery on a different site and have one question...at least for now

when a user registers and starts creating an album, is there any way to default it to a private album? i have set in the config to allow private albums, though i want the users who create albums to automatically create a private album, or an album that requires registered users only to view, rather than being allowed to be viewed by anyone. is there a way to do this by default?
