I was wondering if there are any interim procedures to go through before upgrading to the current version.

I have not been keeping dedicated tabs on whats happening in the coppermine world and so got left behind, somewhat. Is the upgrade a straightforward one?  Or have there been massive code changes since 1.1x which will end up breaking my theme and the database?

Any assistance and pointers gratefully accepted.

TIA
Sue

The upgrade is very straight-forward. In fact http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#11 steps you through the process. As to breaking themes, any modifications that you have made to the original theme supplied from CPG will have to be re-made after the upgrade.

I would recommend backing up your site and database as a precautionary measure. Always better to be safe then sorry :-)

Thanks very much, I wasnt really sure if I needed to have installed 1.2x in the middle or not.  This is very good :)

Never been much on backups, Always starting from scratch and sometimes that ain't a bad thing :)

Thanks again for your help
