[FIXED] Can upload pics, CAN'T view?

Just installed CPG 1.2 on PHP-NUKE v6.5  (Installed on Apache Linux server, PHP v 4.3.4, ImageMagick)

I can upload pics, but only get a red cross when I try to view them.

The thumbnail, intermediate and full size versions all exist on the server.

Yes, as far as I know. It's configured the same way as 2 other coppermine galleries I have (both v1.1) which are working...

You don't have permission to access /portal/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10002/thumb_earth.jpg on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

CHMODed 'albums' , 'userpics' and '10002' to 777.

Now working MANY THANKS  

Do I need to change any configuration so that future folders won't need to be manually CHMODed??
