Please Help Batch Upload Error

Let me start out by saying this program is great!  I've had it up and running for a month now and entered numerous albums.

Yesterday, I tried to upload new pics and out of nowhere starting getting this error:

Warning: opendir() [function.opendir]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect.

What happened and can I fix this?

my first guess would be your webhost has "played around" on the server. Find out if your server runs in safe mode (look that up with phpinfo) and check if silly_safe_mode will help you on this (use the search feature of this board).
