When i click on sort in the classic skin it does not open the same image after sorting it: Eg. http://www.refugeez.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=9&page=1&sort=td

It worked fine for me.  Did you refresh your page, as it may just be browser caching.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Hmm it must be ie or avant browser.. Firefox works fine ...

I recommend to think twice in the future before shouting "bug", as this is something developers react very "harshly" on... ;)
