I have installed Coppermine before on various servers without issue. Though I'm not particularly advanced in any aspect of the script, I tend to understand what I'm doing and/or what may be tripping me up. Right now, however, I've hit a road block I haven't been able to get over.

I'm installing the script for a group of friends on their domain hosted by Yahoo!'s Small Business web plan. I've upgraded them to the plan that allows PHP & MySQL. I've installed myPHPadmin for them.

All of the files have been uploaded and CHMODed properly. I've been through the install.php page with all of the correct information included. The isntallation completed without problem.

Here's where the problem arises. Once the script is installed and you're told to login. When I attempt to access the login page or the index I receive the following error:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

I've never come across this before and am a bit baffled as to why it wouldn't be able to access the MySQL server not even a minute after installing the script.

I've also sent a support email into Yahoo!. It'd be nice if I could receive some assistance here as well if someone has come across the same problem.

Thank you,
Sidney
