I have recently installed coppermine on my site and is seems to be working the way I wish, some minor edits are required however I have created posts where applicable in order to try to fix the problems.

I am also using a seperate image gallery which includes links to photos from previous travels of the person the site is for.

http://www.ontheroad.eu.com/English/travel-cv/travelcv.htm

This page includes links to other image gallery which is ok, but not ideal by any means. I used this gallery while I was learning how to use more advanced image gallerys and would now like to move on.

As I said Coppermine is installed and I would like to move these images over to a coppermine gallery, but I do not want peolpe to be able to switch from one gallery to another.

Either I need to be able to run two instances of coppermine within one site, or I need to be able to create seperate albums which can not be accessed or even seen from the main gallery link. and vice versa giving the impression of two seperate gallerys. This would have to have a different main title. ie instead of 'OnTheRoadPanAmerica' I would want to use 'MyTravelCV'.

Is this possible and which would be the best way top achieve what I want.

I do not want to damage the existing installation by installing a second unless I know that this would not create any problems.

I am using a windows based domain host, which uses mysql. I created an initial database for the first installation. I forget exactly the process when I installed coppermine but does the installation routine ask for the name of any database or is it assigned automatically.

Apologies for so many questions in one post but this is my first attempt at using a decent gallery. I am very happy with my initial results and do not want to see all my initial hard work ruined by a stupid mistake.

Thanks again in advance for any help you guys may be able to give me.

it's possible without any problems to run multiple CPGs on one domain. Just upload into a new subfolder and create a new database for the new Coppermine

If you can't create a new database (many webhosting packages only allow you but one database), just chose a different table prefix during installation, that's all. See More than one gallery per domain? for a more detailed explanation.

I am not going to be trying this for a couple of weeks but thank you for the advice guys.

I think this is a sollution I will have to default to, so it is nice to know it can be done without any difficulties.

Thanx again
