Hi,

I have successfully integrated my gallery with the phpbb forum in so far that login and cookies etc work without a problem. Looking at the groups successfully pulls in the forum groups as expected.

The problem comes when I start securing the photo albums in their properties. I select a forum group for view permissions and the album then disappears on the front page on both my admin account and test user account.

Going into the database I can reset the visibility to 0 again to get the album back. Tracing the visibility group vs coppermine group id vs forum group id they do seem to be different. Is this the issue? I have tried alligning the forum's and gallery's group id's tob e the same which didnt help anyway.

Does anyone have any other ideas I can try?

Cheers

Richard

Try setting 'show private icon to unlogged user' to YES in config.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

I'm not sure I understand your thinking    how would that option help?

I'm trying to make all albums not visible to anyone not authorised to. Users and groups seem to work but when making an album non public and a member of any of the private groups the albums just not visible and can only be reclaimed directly in the database.

My thinking is this is a known bug, that admin cannot see albums set to view by registered users only, if the icon is not shown.

This is fixed in the next version, but the quick workaround is to set the icon to be shown, because then admin can see and edit the pics, unlogged users still cannot.

If you really need to hide the albums completely, there is a fix posted, do a search for admin cannot see albums.
