Version 1.4.3, using theme Fruity.

I have my Album List View set to 3 columns, 3 rows so it displays three Albums across (and three down if necessary).
In Categories with only 1 or 2 Albums, everything is fine.
But in Categories with 3 or more Albums, the display is messed up.
It makes a frame within the page, and both the outer page and the inner frame have their own functional scroll bars:

The view gets very disorienting, depending on how I've scrolled with each of the 4 scroll bars:

This problem only occurs in Admin Mode, and only occurs on the Album List View page. (Does not occur on thumbnail pages which are 4 columns wide.)

This problem developed maybe 1-2 months ago. Before that, when on Album List View,  the page was a little too wide for my screen (17" monitor at 1024x768 res) and thus I had one normal horizontal scroll bar, which I could deal with.

I don't know what changed between then and now to cause this, but is there anyway to fix it short of having to make my Album List View only 2 columns wide?

Thanks,
C

I just discovered this problem only occurs in MSN Explorer (my preferred browser) and IE7.  The problem does not occur in Firefox or Opera. It was just within the last month or two that I updated from IE6 to IE7, so I guess that explains where the problem came from. Do you think then this is something I can solve from within Coppermine, or something I'll have to live with as a fault of IE7?

Thanks,
C

As this only happens when being logged in as admin I wouldn't worry too much. However, you just don't have enough horizontal space. Add linebreaks after your buttons if this bothers you.

That's what I had thought, but In Firefox and Opera it fits the page, there is no horizontal scroll at all.

Great idea, thanks. Never occured to me I could do that. Will do and see if it corrects the display in IE & MSN.

Update your gallery...

To what? Top of my config page shows I have 1.4.3; here http://coppermine-gallery.net/index.php it looks like 1.4.13 is the latest.?

exactly, you're 10 versions behind

Oh. I didn't realize the version numbers went down with updates instead of up. Thanks, will do.

3 is lower than 13...

Yep, when looked at that way it is. I was seeing it as 4.1 vrs 4.3 though, where 4.1 would be the smaller number math-wise. Thanks again, I get it now.

Just following up here to note that the original problem of thread topic - the frame & extra scrollbars in IE7 and MSN Ex- is solved. (The suggestion to break up the buttons into more rows worked great.)
