Max number of chars in a word <- cant find this setting.

I have the problem of people doing coments like lllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllll breaking the Thumbnail view of the albums :(  any idea?

Joachim Müller

Config -> Comment settings -> Max number of characters in a word

n0fear2

I dont have that setting  - even after (again) a full update to latest version. Only got

Max Lines of a Comment 10
Max Length of Comment 512

admin shows version 1.4.13

maybe some update missed that in database? Can you tel me where this setting should come from?

n0fear2

well, have that max_com_wlength 38  in database but no setting showing in frontend?

Sami

You can find it under
config=>Image view=>Max number of characters in a word

@GuaGau: May be we could move it to comment setting section !
‍I don't answer to PM with support question
Please post your issue to related board

n0fear2

ahhh ok, found now ;9 thx.. yeahh seams to be in wrong setting topic ;)

Joachim Müller

@Sami: IMO we should maybe even merge the "Image view" and "comment settings" for cpg1.5.x. Let's discuss this in a separate thread on the coding discussion board.

We don't need admin accounts - never post admin accounts publicly. In your special case it won't hurt though, as you failed to post a link to your gallery, so no harm done... ::)

Fabricio Ferrero

So you noticed I'm begginer. I just erase the admin account. Well, my web is www.elgranalbum.com  could somebody help? I put max lenght to 12 and doesn't work.

Thank in advance...

Well, we need a non-admin test user account to be able to actually comment your pics. Actual link to your gallery is http://www.elgranalbum.com/soft/index.php *warning: not safe for work, mild nudity *

Fabricio Ferrero

Those pics are just for testing. It really make me feel good watching during work...  ;)

Done.... user: "me"  pass: "12345678"

Jokes apart: upload a picture and put a lond long word and you see youre gonna ruin my gallery.... whyyyyyy????

I can see several issues with your theme (white text on white background) and your improper use of the www subdomain. However, I can't see any issues with the long comment I posted here
