I have Coppermine 1.4.9 embedded in PostNuke (pnCPG) and when I add an image to my Favorites it takes me to another image page. Clicking on 'My Favorites' shows' Album does not exist' and also shows me as being not logged in. This state persists if I click another link. However, if I use Back to go back to the image page I was on when I clicked 'Add to Favorites', it shows me as logged in, with all my admin buttons, and THIS state persists when I click another link. Clicking on 'My Favorites' then shows all my favorites, including the image I just added!

So there seems to be a bug that messes up the logged-in state somewhere. It didn't used to do this in past versions, I just discovered this now.

Cheers,

Tom

Just to add, upgrading to 1.4.10 does not fix it.

Posting a link and non-admin test user account might help.

Hiya,

Just reviewing my past issues and I find that this problem still occurs.

Then do as suggested. Little point posting otherwise.

TomG

Sorry about that- just thought it might have been a problem you had come accross and knew a fix. I'll pm you login details for my site.

Does this also happen when you access Coppermine outside Postnuke?

TomG

No, it works perfectly using a direct login. I had never tried this as I only ever access it via PN. If I create a new user within Coppermine and log in directly as that user, it works fine with favorites.

If I enter coppermine from PN, save an image to favorites (which appears to log me out), then log in as a standalone coppermine user, then use the back button in browser, it sees me as my original user again. If I then save an other image to favorites, it reverts to the second user again! It kees the first user profile active for any task until I add the favorite. It seems to be keeping two users logged at the same time, but only the saving of favorites triggers the native coppermine user (which usually is not logged in or even exist)

You're not supposed to PM the login details, but post them publicly. I said

, not "PMing the devs a link and test user account might help". Do as suggested!

OK,

login details from Postnuke at www.edinburghphotographicsociety.co.uk:
user: testuser
pass: epstest

login from Coppermine directly:
user: test1
pass: epstest

Thanks for your help.

Gallery URL is http://www.edinburghphotographicsociety.co.uk/coppermine/ then? There's something fishy with it, as it says "logout [Guest]" when acceesing the gallery vie the link in your nuke portal. I have no idea about pnCPG, but I don't think that this is supposed to happen. Separate logins for nuke and coppermine are not supposed to exist neither afaik. This is something that is beyond my scope though - maybe Cas can help.

TomG

If you access coppermine via postnuke without having first logged in to postnuke, it logs you into coppermine as Guest.

Does changing your site url in Coppermine config to http://www.edinburghphotographicsociety.co.uk/coppermine ; (ie. with the www.) fix it?

TomG

Yup, that did it! Thanks  :) I've no idea why I put the full url in without the www.

Good to see that it has been fixed, was just trying it out on the test-account and it worked as expected.
