I'm having a bit of a problem with batch uploads.

I have the configuration set so that images should be resized to a width of 400px.  The problem is that using a batch upload it is resizing some images to this wdith and others to a height of 400px.  When I upload the images individualy (not using batch) I don't have this problem and they are all set to the correct width.

Is this a known problem with using batch uploads?

Thanks.

it is certainly depending from the type of the image (portrait or landscape)

An example of the problem is one image that I have which is in the form of 'ladnscape'.  When I upload that image individualy it is resized so that it has a width of 400.  However, when I try to do the same thing using the batch upload that same image will be resized so that it has a HEIGHT of 400.

An interesting followup to the problem.

I took the files that were having the above problem and put them into their own folder (the originals) and then did a batch insert on them.  They all ended up just fine with the correct width.  So it appears that the problem occurs when there are a number of images to do at once.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any clues as to what might be going on ?

I tried this out.  I changed my config so width was selected, then ftp'd a panaramic pic, (which was actually over the file size and width limits, but that was accidental, DOH).. I batch added it, only that pic, and it came out still set to height, ie very big.(It should not have worked)

I then resized it so it was within my set limits, uploaded by html, and again by ftp.  This time both methods worked correctly.
Can't explain why it didn't the first time.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
