moving and deleting privat albums?!?!

I know there have been many posts about this allready, but after reading all of them I don't think any apply to this problem - if so sorry I didn't pick up on it and could somone point me in the right direction.

I was uploading pics and that was working fine, but I think I tried uploading too many at the same time or sumthing. Anyway what happend was two albums had dud pictures which couldn't be seen online. So i tried deleting the albums but it wouldn't let me. (now I've read something about CPM not letting you delete stuff to secure pictures etc. in the faq and on the forum, but I've allready been able to delete earlier albums without a problem).

I can easily delete the pics themselves as the server is on the same network as me, and I'm mapped into my webspace. So I can change anything I want from there. But this doesn't get rid of the pictures (that don't work - only the little error box with a cross comes up) on the actuall website.

Obviously I have admin status, ummm can't think of any other info to give.

Any ideas?

Oops I've worked it out. I'm mapped to my server and i decided to 'tidy' my files. Obviously by changing a file name i also changed the path. Thats why I couldn't delete the album - it wasn't there.

Thought I'd better post this incase somebody else made the same stupid mistake

i searched the forum but found nothing. am i blind or is it not possible to move or delete a privat album as admin??

You can delete it, edit it's properties, and edit the pics.  But you cannot move it to another category (without messing with the database).

The admin buttons are not on the front page, but on each users sub-cat page(just click the thumbs till you get there).

I had this problem as admin and it gave me the message

Directory 'albums/userpics/file_name/' is not writable, pictures can't be deleted

how do i make it writable? I haven't changed anything (to my knowlege) and it worked before
