When I upload a thumbnail for a video why doesn't the code accept spaces? For instance--- Video is "My video.mpg" The thumbanil is "thumb_My Video.jpg" Comes up with an error saying image not found. So other than renaming the file is there any way to fix this?

Also, some video files run fine and are played through coppermine, the others you can hear the sound but no picture. If I open a browser and type in the direct path to the video file, it pulls up the file fine and plays it in its respective player. Now is there any way I can link individual thumbnails to individual files directly and not through the position in the database. Or do I have to place a link in the actual description?
Thanks

post a deep link to a coppermine page that is suppossed to show the video with custom thumbnail. Please note that you're supossed to upload the custm thumbnail by FTP, not by http.

yeah, i did it using ftp. most thumbnails looked fine but ones with spaces came up with the error. maybe soemthing to work on in new editions. anyway i decided to change the way i'm doing it so thanks though.

Spaces in folder and file names have long been known to cause problems, not just in the custom thumbnails, or coppermine, but in many things on the web.

We always recommend that names are alpha-numeric and with - or _ only, no other puntuation, no spaces and no accents etc.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
