As a user, I can receive:
1. the registration confirmation email
2. eCards

BUT, I don't receive any of the admin emails.
I have tried several of my email addys in the config area for the admin email setting,
but I have not received any admin notifications from any of them.

Is there any other setting I should be looking at for getting the admin email notifications working?

TIA!

Did you set up a valid email account in coppermine's config? Is it the same as the email address of your admin account?

scottcrew

Of course I used a valid email address.... ::)
Ahhh... BUT... The main administrator email was different than the admin email in the Config...
It was a cpanel installation and it didn't allow for the admin email setup on install. So, it took the host account username & the domain name and created an email addy. That email was not something I use, so the admin user email was not setup properly.
I edited the config admin email addy but not the admin user.
With all that said...
The problem was on the admin USER side of things and not in the config, which is where I was thinking it should be...

All works fine now.
Thanks for the tip that sent me looking in the right place.

I hope this helps someone else out there....

That's one of the reasons why we don't recommend cpanel installs (aka Fantastico installs). The only supported install method is the one we propose in our docs.

I change my email and again not send notification and e-cards but :

Quote==========================
email
------------------
Directive | Local Value | Master Value
sendmail_from |  /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i  | /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i
SMTP | localhost | localhost
smtp_port | 25 | 25
==========================

ERROR MSG

Quote/include/mailer.inc.php

    * Warning line 531: mail(): Bad parameters to mail() function, mail not sent.

and again

/include/mailer.inc.php

    * Warning line 1693: fsockopen(): unable to connect to mail.host.bg:25

May be ports (25) is problem !

 Answer from my webhost is

"The 'sendmail' in this server is disabled. Please use PHP function mail()  ???  ???"

Excuse for my english  :-[

scottcrew

Get a new web host... Scripts should not be prevented from using sendmail...
You would have a real problem if you wanted to implement a shopping cart script without having the availability of sendmail...

Today i am install new CPG with new DB and in new DIR and result is :
Mail to admin for activatin for new user - YES
Mail to user - NO
E-cards - NO
