Hi miners,

I would like to asign more than one users to administer the gallery without giving them the admin status/moderator status on phpbb forum. Is this possible, if yes, Please tell me how?

If not, can I sincerely make a request that this feature would be so cool for those with forums integrated into CMG.

Appreciate it.

Thanks.

this would be a very nice option to have....

maybe not give them FULL admin rights, (keep them out of the config pages) but let them move/approve/deny uploads, move/add/delete albums, add/delete categories, selectable in the groups settings area...

there are some great ideas for this already great gallery...

this is one feature that would make me love this gallery even more...
i have only been using it for about a week, but i really enjoy it...

Everyone is a little busy prepping 1.3, but you might make a go of it.

You could try adding a moderator group (Scan through the code and you'll see the admin mode sections.)

Another possibility would be to restore the CPG users table, then set up another coppermine installation that uses the same database without the BB integration.  Turn the albums and user pics folders in the non BB install into symbolic links, shortcuts, or pipes (whatever they call it in each OS) to the folders in the BB install.  This all speculation, but it might allow them to admin the coppermine gallery files and database without allowing access to the BB. Remove the config.php and the links to it in the new install, and they shouldn't be able to change the config settings. If you try this, do it with two test installs.

I expect a moderator group in the next few releases, but it sounds like you may not want to wait.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
