I have searched this forum and google but not found out how to have it as part of the users albums.

I only seem have the option to upload one image at a time. I see others refer to bulk uploads but where is it ? Sorry if I am missing something obvious. I really did look but sometime you can't see what is under your nose and I am under pressure to get a good album program installed.

Many thanks if you answer :)

You need the latest version 1.3 of Coppermine to do this - However do note that this is a Beta version still

Hi caz,

this depends on what you mean by bulk uploads.

The site admin can bulk upload via ftp, and then use the batch add facility to add them to the albums.

Users can only upload more than one pic at a time if using windows XP.  They need to browse to your_site.com/your_cpg_directory/xp_publish.php and follow the instructions.

Multiple upload by html for all users is in version 1.3,
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Thanks so much for answering!

I mean for my users to be able to upload more than one picture at a time.

Many of them now use photo bucket but I want to offer this service integrated with the phpbb they already use (the domain I gave before is not the one that I want this service for but a new one being developed). I really like coppermine so far except for the issue of users (not admin) being able to upload more than one pic at a time.

So should I try the beta version? Any major issues I should know about so far?

Thanks again!

CPG1.3.0 is currently under public beta testing (last stage before final release), so I guess all major bugs should have been ironed out by now (some minor ones will probably be discovered, but they will hopefully be fixed easily). If you're in the middle of setting up a new site cpg1.3.0 will probably become final while you're still in the process of finishing your new site setup, so I can't see any reason why you shouldn't give the beta a try (updating from beta to final will be easy - just overwriting some files).
