Ok...so I'm totally new to all of this but am definitely willing to learn all it takes.  I've been looking for a place to store my thousands of photographs (and make them viewable to the public).  I don't know if I'm at the right place, but I hope I am.  Does anyone have any advice to someone like me who is just starting out or know of any tutorial's I could read through.  Also another big concern of mine is....is coppermine free or does it have a monthly fee?  If anyone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.  :)

hello,

First, please don't multiple post in future (I forgive the first time  ;)).

Coppermine is 100% free.  You should download the latest release, version 1.3.0, and unzip it on your local pc.
Then look in the docs folder, and read the contents.
I know it may be confusing at first, but it's easy really.
Check that your webhost has the minimum requirements (nearly all paid hosts, and many free ones do).

Then just follow the instructions.  If you are confused at this stage, then do a search on the boards for your question, and post any question on the relevent thread.
If you can't find a relevent thread, then create a new one, on the support board.

Have fun, it's worth it
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

actually, you triple-posted (one got deleted by Casper, the other one is on http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=6550.0#msg29690 ). You should never do this, on no support board - makes people angry, as they have to waste a lot of energy on moderation. They then become reluctant to help...

Sorry, I apologize for posting more than once....I couldn't find my threads anywhere so I thought they didn't go through.  But thank you for your help....I really appreciate it.   :)
