After searching the forum I didn't stumble across anything that would answer my question, so I decided to make that post..

I wanted to ask if it's possible to make .gif's play/run simply after they are clicked on from the list of files in the album (on preview/display image), and not after they are clicked again (new window, fullsize). They play normally in the new window, but it would be useful to make them play before that. Maybe it is possible with a plugin or some setting changed, but sadly I couldn't find anything like this.

If you don't use GD for image resizing, GIFs will maintain their animation in thumbnails and intermediate images.
