Trying to install coppermine, have uploaded the stuff and run the install screen, but it kicks back saying mySQL cannot find a database called 'images'. I created one on the control panel of the site and it's sitting there. Other settings as follows:

My SQL Host set to localhost, the default
My SQL table prefix set to cpg11d_ also the default.

Probably a no-brainer to people more familiar than I, but any help would be apreciated. I feel I'm SOO close to sorting this.

First, if the default prefix is shown as 'cpg11d_' you do not have the latest stable version.  Which version have you downloaded?

Please post a sreenshot of your install page, with all filled in except the password.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Thanks, Casper.

Here's a link to it:  http://www.neillwatson.com/coppermine/install.php
I downloaded it a couple of months ago now on recommendation from a freind, but 'til now haven't had time to use it.

What you gave there is a link to the page itself, not a screenshot.

First, please download the latest stable version (1.3.1) of coppermine from the downloads section.
Then replace all the files with these new ones.

Then make sure you know the name of your database, the path to it, if not localhost, and the username and password you set for it.

Then fill in the form.  The username and password you set at the top will be your coppermine logon.

If you have trouble at that point, please post here.

Hi Casper.

Problem solved. I installed the latest version, but the error was still there. A conversation with my webhost unearthed the fact that I have two databases on the server and they must both have different user names. Once I created a unique user name for the database, all was OK.

I'm off to do the configuration bit now, so might be back in touch later! :-)

Best regards
Neill
