Dear members, this is my first post.  This gallery looks awesome!

I am trying to move a user-created gallery into main category called Art Photos.

It does not seem possible for an admin to move other peoples galleries into different categories.
I searched the forum and found a post on it about issueing mysql commands.

Can somebody here clarify how to  do this?
Let's say I have a gallery in User galleries called "Vic photos".  I need to move into
into main category called "Art Photos".

Also, after the move.  Will the gallery user be able to add photos to his gallery.

Are their any side affects from performing such a move?

Thanks

moving albums from "user galleries" to public ones is not possible with the coppermine user interface, this indeed requires fumbling with phpMyAdmin and is not recommended. The user won't be able to modify the pics no longer after moving them.
Posting support requests on the general discussion board is not not a good idea, use the proper support board in the future.

P.S. Please don't double post; I removed your other identical posting

Thank you very much for your reply.  I have put some little hack in the code in modifyalb.php to let admin move other user's galleries.

Unfortunatly, users no longer can access their galleries after they have been moved.

Is their a simple solution for this, or will it require some major overhall of the gallery and is not recommended.
Thanks

this is being discussed as a feature for the next coppermine version - it's not that easily done.

The original user can upload to these albums, if the album properties allow 'visitors can upload'.  However it also means everyone else with upload permissions can upload to this album.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
