Can not log on after installing onto my server

Hello,

I have just installed the software but receive a error message of *** Couldn't log in. Try again ***  i have checked my user name and password and they are all correct and i have tried looking in the config.php file for a line of coding that tells you the password but i can not find this line any ideas??

username and password are not stored in a file, but in the database. Try the "Forgot password" link from the login screen. If this fails, you'll need a tool like phpMyAdmin to recover the lost password from the database.

hi thanks for the quick response 

i have tried the forgot password link but that will not work as i have not set up an email address to send the password to!

i have only uploaded the files onto the server completed the install.php entered my sql database details and user name and password then saved the file and then the log on box came on the screen and this is a far as i have got!!

do you think i would need to reinstall the whole software again? or if any one knows any other way that would be great.

If you can access the database, you can see the username and password. If you can't, then it wouldn't hurt to reinstall since you apparently have nothing to lose.

Hi, yes i have full acess to the database think i will try to reinstall and go from there thanks for your suggestions so far

I´ve got the same after i installed the callery i uploaded some pictures then went to sleep today i tryed to login in it work and i got the message welcome aman but nothing happend iam not loged in please help me this is the second time this happens.

My gallery uses the style waterdrop.
