Hello all,
I'm disovering coppermine and wondering if it could be usefull for my project.
I'm planning a learning site  for creative language learners in multiple languages.
The idea is rather simple, users or teachers with classes choose in typical photogalleries (geographical or thematical) four photos at once and write a (short) story about.
After having choosen the photos, they should appear and a new page, joined to textfields.
At the end they have to be able to print or to publish the story on the site (for comments and ).
like here on my blog , just to give an idea.
So I could use some features of coppermine and had to add (or integrate) some others.
My question : is coppermine a good departure for this project and not to complicated (or to much work) to modify in this direction?
Is this possible for somenone who's rather new in PHP coding?

Any help really appreciated
Thanks in advance
Regards
Martin

You might be able to achieve this with cpg 1.4 (no release date yet) and minicms plugin. You can see an example here. If you click on the image, you can see the image's page, with the text that goes along with it. Currently, only admin can add the content, but it's on the to-do list to be able to allow certain groups add/edit access.

You can have pages that filter for keywords. So if you have 'portfolio', it will show a page of files that have that keyword.

Seems promising, I'll take a look, thanks

Do you take part in the development?

If you are asking about the minicms plugin, yes, I do participate, mostly in the brainstorming. Donnoman does most of the (new) coding (this was based on other people's work). I try to help where I can.

ok for the plug-in, so I have to be patient and to look forward to the 1.4 release ...
Thanks
