I have a strange bug with my gallery as csrage.net/gallery

been trying to upload a file, it says its all sucessfull, but when I go to place the image in an album, I get this message

"The previous file could not be placed.

You have successfully placed all the files."

I have imagemagik 6.0.6 installed, and Ive told the gallery to look for it in the proper directory, what could be wrong?

ok, I tried what it said, and I am getting this error now:

Critical error
The file 'albums/userpics/file~0.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 127

Cmd line :
/usr/lib/ImageMagick-6.0.6/convert -quality 80 -antialias -geometry 100x100 'albums/userpics/file~0.jpg' 'albums/userpics/thumb_file~0.jpg'

The convert program said:

File: /home/dir/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 391

Im thinking this means that ImageMagik install dir needs CHMOD 777? new name? Im not familiar with it.

Ive searched the forum about this problem, but all I ever get is unresolved issues, with you telling people to search about it, please just post the resolution in the documentation instead of avoiding it by telling people to find it for themselves.

127 = wrong path to imagemagick.

...and we always told people who encounter this issue to:
- verify that they actually have ImageMagick available on their server
- use GD instead of ImageMagick if possible

We can't include it into the docs, as this is an issue of server setup and not coppermine related. The error message you get comes from ImageMagick, not coppermine - it is only being displayed through coppermine to make it easier for you to set up your server in the first place. It's as much information as Coppermine can get from the server. Go and ask General Motors to explain in the manuals that come with their cars how roads are being built...
