Hi,

sometimes the Bridge works sometimes not.

Sometimes you have to switch more than three Times between Forum and Coppermine to get Coppermine know that you have been logged in. And then sometimes you are logged in trying to upload some files and then it tolds you that you do not have rights for this action.

Then again switching between Coppermine and Forum and  after 2 or 3 Movements it works.

What can be the Problem ? Before you think about Cookietimeout - this happens even you are only logged in for 2 Minutes.

If it helps to develope this Bridge more perfectly i can help with a Dump and the Filestructure.

Coppermine install: http://www.politikstube.de/gallerie/index.php
Forum install: http://www.politikstube.de/forum/index.php
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.4
Forum version: vBulletin 3.5.4
Test user account: tester / coppermine

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.politikstube.de/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  0

Another try to get this fixed for all vBulletin User after this Thread was closed before : http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=28886.0

works exactly as expected, trying to log in, browse, log out, browse, log in again, browse. The only issue I could imagine you have would be if you go back in your browser's history (e.g. to get to the gallery after logging in, as vb doesn't support redirect after login) - you will of course see a cached page. Imo your issues are (if they actually exist at all and are not related to misconception of browser concepts) related to your client settings, so you should check your local cookie and cache settings.

The Problem appears (do not know the english Word for it) "sporadisch".

I have tried it with FF, IE, Opera and Seamonkey. I appears at 5 Clients. Cookie and Cacherefresh brings success after a few Trys sometimes.

Is it possible that the Cookiename has to be the same at both (Forum and Gallery) maybe ?

"sporadisch" = "sporadically".

If it only happens every now and then, why bother?

The cookie names mustn't be the same, they must differ (as suggested in the docs).
