Using the batch add pictures, I usually encounter two problems:

First: when clicking on batch add, then the folder i want to add from, the images on that next page to select which to add, appear with a red X, although clicking on them results on properly being linked. I try to add them anyway, but when the blue "OK" icons are appearing, the Red X ones continue to get a red X.

Second: Sometimes the batch add icon shows, but when adding them they show red X in "OK" screen and arent added.

Ive tried renaming the files that dont work, reuploading them, but nothing worked. I have created a duplicate of some of the files and added the thumb_ and normal_ to them, this does work, but would be a year long process.

any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Write permissions for the script in the folder "albums" and all subfolders set up properly (CHMOD), as described in the readme that comes with coppermine?
  • Image library (GD or ImageMagick) set up properly and confirmed to run (see faq)?
  • Link?[/list:u]

write permissions are fine, because some of the files work. Its usually only one or two that screw up every few batch adds

cant provde link, as its in admin....

I had this same thing happening.  I found it was with large pix pics, even if they were well optimised and smallish files, and were within the set limit.

Try making the ones that will not load properly a bit smaller (pixel size)
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

errr were talkin about doing this to  hundreds over pictures, so not a feasible solution.

anything else?

No, sorry, other than using a program such a photoshop to do a batch covert to a smaller size, using a custom made action.

I don't have that many pics to worry about, but found this was what I had to do.  It was almost always with pics at 1600 x 1200 or above, even though my config settings allow up to 2048 x 2048.
