Hey.
I'm making a family photo site. So everyone can view all photos but can only upload in their own category. I've made this category example:
-John
-Pete
-Carl.

Now I want it to make that John can view all photos but only upload in his own category. When I make a group (John) and then click the albums button it says "This group has no special access rights". How can I fix this?

You set access rights via album properties.
That's only for an album. I want to set it for the categorys. So I can make it like this
-John
--Holiday
--Kids
--Car
-Carl
--Holiday

Etc. How do I set it that people can make their own albums in categories?

Nibbler

You can't. Only albums have such settings. Use the user galleries system instead.

You set access rights via album properties.

How can I do that? I go to Album Properties and cannot find anything related to special access rights, i only see access for visitors. Pls note that I want a group to be able to post pictures to that album and it's in public categories so everyone can see. Pls let me know.

You won't see those settings if you have turned off "albums can be private" in Coppermine's config. Turn it back on.
