Hi,

Siteground hosting company somehow maneged to delete 4 GB of my pictures...luckily I had made some backups of original pictures and coppermind database. What I lost was thumbs and intermediat size pictures. So I installed coppermind album, then imported database and coped original files to exact catalogues where they were.

Then I went to "Admin tools" and  selected
1) "Update thumbs and/or resized photos (1)"
2) "Both thumbnails and resized pictures"
3) Selected an album
4) clicked on "Submit"

Then I saw list of errors:
ERROR creating : albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/thumb_Picture002.jpg
ERROR creating : albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/thumb_Picture003.jpg
and so on...

Briefly...I can not for some reason create again thumbnails and intermediat pictures :(

Can you suggest something to me that I should check or do or done differently?

all the best,

Ragnar

My folders are with premission 755, but I also tried with 777. It still gives me the same error :(

ERROR creating : albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/thumb_Picture002.jpg
ERROR creating : albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/normal_Picture002.jpg
and so on...

Make sure there are no thumb or normal files, means check if these files already exist
-> albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/thumb_Picture002.jpg
-> albums/2005/sobrad/stockholm/normal_Picture002.jpg

double check folder permissions (albums dir and its subdirs)

1) those files (thumb and normal) do not exist.

2) I also checked permissions
albums/ (755)
2005/ (755)
sobrad/ (755)
stockholm/ (755)

also I tried those folders with with 777
Still the same eror message :(

did you read the entire permission section of the docs as I suggested? Did you understand it? There might be issues only your webhost is capable to fix (ownership issues - CHOWNing).

I changed "Method for resizing images" from ImageMagic to GD version 2.x and it started to work again. :)
