Hello,

For some reason when I upload a SWF file the default thumbnail image (thumb_swf.jpg) is not appearing on the film strip.

For example, my SWF file is called "wedding.swf". The thumbnail is pointing to a file called gallery/albums/userpics/10001/thumb_wedding.swf - However this file does not exist as it is not automatically created.

Instead of this I would like it to automatically point to gallery/images/thumb_swf.jpg

Would someone please help me fix this?

Thank you,
Greg

I cannot reproduce this problem on my site.  I see the default SWF thumbnail on the film strip for a User Gallery.

Please provide a link to your site.

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me.

You need to login to my site (www.modiba.com/gallery) so please use the following details:

username: support
password: password

Please then visit the following page:

http://www.modiba.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=10&page=11

You will see here that there is no default SWF image appearing. Instead there is just a very small box which is trying to link to http://www.modiba.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/thumb_wedding.swf

Thank you for your help,
Greg

not sure if this is related to the fact that you're on Zeus webserver. Please go to http://www.modiba.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/ with your FTP app and post a screenshot that shows what files reside in that folder. The default thumbnail is where it is suppossed to be (http://www.modiba.com/gallery/images/thumb_swf.jpg), so that appears not to be the issue. The basic fault is that coppermine expects a custom thumbnail to be present at http://www.modiba.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/thumb_wedding.swf, which is of course bull***. Again, I have no idea what's wrong. Did you apply any hacks/mods that we should be aware of?

modiba: You're running version 1.4.2.  I don't think there were any updates that would affect the custom thumbnails code, but there are some serious security issues that are fixed in the current release (1.4.5).

It's easy to upgrade, if you haven't applied any mods or hacks.  The documentation tells you how.

If you have applied any mods or hacks, you need to re-apply them after upgrading.  And you should tell us here, as GauGau said.
