I have created a category called "Gallery"  in it there are several albums.  I have turned off the ability for users to create their own galleries.  I want registered to user to be able to upload pictues to the albums with in the "Gallery" category.  In the admin panel I clicked on the 'Albums List' went to properties for the album labeled 'Personal Pictures' and click on where it says (*) depending on groups settings.  When I click on this link it takes me to the groups permissions page.

I clicked the button that says "Assigned Album(s)" under the Registered Users and it says "This group has no special access"  I cannot figure out how I can allow registered users to upload to these albums created under the "Gallery" category.

You need to go into the album properties. The page you referred to is an informational, summary-type page.

I went through the manual and in the section your link took me to  shows a drop down box, album can be viewed by everyone.

My installation doesn't have this drop down box showing.

I have the following set for these options:

Permissions for this album
Visitors can upload files *     Yes
Visitors can post comments *    Yes
Visitors can rate files *    Yes

I went into my group manager http://gallery.thecorner4men.com/groupmgr.php this is what I am showing

I really don't know what I am doing wrong.  People in the registered group are not being able to upload pics to any of the define albums.  I clicked on assigned albums button and keep getting You don't have permission to access this page.

I've got the same problem as described above.
I checked the topic GauGau referred to, and when i look at my album properties,
i do not have the line 'Album can be viewed by' in mine.
Is there anything i have overlooked?
I'm running cpg 1.4.8, with Stramm's Modpack and MiniCMS.

But I do not want them to upload pictures, i'd like to assign acces to certain groups
(so, members can browse the whole site, while guests can only browse the most recent stuff)

And i'm running a slightly modded evrsion of Blackbirch.
