Hi!

I recently installed Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.9 and wanted to test the Stramm modpack. So i have overwritten all files with the modpack and everything seemed to work, unitl i tried adding pictures. The upload was OK (it said), and the thumbnails are created, but then i click on them, i get this error:

"Critical error
There was an error while processing a database query"

Without the modpack this works fine. So i suppose this has something to do with the changes that comes with the modpack?! I am using a bridge to make cpg work with Joomla 1.0.11 but that worked fine with the standard installation of cpg 149.

Please, could anyone help me?

I searched the forum for this error message, but i am not sure who of these are the correct solution for me or if anyone is the right solution at all.. i do not know mysql much.. i can delete and backup tables and db but that's pretty much it.. so please explain if i have to do something in the db (i did a backup.. so..)

Please see the debug info found here:

there's a fix for your issue on this board please search...
I'm working on permanent fix for this as it is done in the original coppermine bridge when tables can not be joined cause they use different mysql users.

Siberiantiger

I have only one db in mysql db, both joomla and cpg are in this db. Prefix for joomla=jos_ and for cpg=cpg_

so there is only one db user here..

Stramm

ahh.. OK, Joomla... that's not yet supported. You'd have to do some changes to the brisgemanager and the bridge file. Can't tell you more cause I do not use Joomla

Does an out of the box joomla support avatars and is it possible for users to set notification levels in their joomla profile?

Siberiantiger

Well, i think you got a point there.. i am not really sure if joomla basic install supports avatars. I am not really sure what avaters is.. is it the picture a user can have on their profile, or is it some kind of smilieys? If it is a profile picture, then joomla does not support this out of the box, but i am using a plugin/components called community builder that supports profile images..

Notification levels, well.. i am not sure actually what this really is.. has this something to do with enable the "Use post-based groups?" option in my bridge? (Should i not have enabled it?) (Does disable fix some of this problems?)

So i guess i have to.. in someway disable these functions in the coppermine config? How can this be done (with me saying i am no database admin (but have full access) and do not know much about mysql really (using a webinterface for mysql)

I really like the tentacle theme, it fits right in to my homepage.. so it would be nice to get some help here..

Stramm

Avatar: yes, that's the lil image a user can upload. It's used usually in the profile, next to comments and PMs etc

The second thing is... can a user chose in the profile whether to get notification emails (for new PMs etc) or not. That's necessary for the modpacks notification on comments function.

Just disabling the functionality in config won't work I'm afraid.

Siberiantiger

I found an option in the Community Builder that is called:

Notification & Notification Method, and have these options:

No (default)
Email
PMS
PMS+Email

Description = Choose wheter you want connection notifications and which method you would like you users to received notifications related to connections workflow

Could this be the "notification email" you are asking for?

Stramm

this can be used for it I think

Will have a look at Joomla the next days

Siberiantiger

Thanks, that would be great.. in the meantime i tried this http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=29153.msg135084#msg135084 and it seemd to work.. i can now open the pictures correctly.. but i have not cheked for any other error after this change. Hoping the next release / fix for this modpack would address and fix this problem without having to change this manually... Thansk so much for the help so far.. :D

Quotelatest update: 10-04-2006 -> Modpack v2 for CPG 1.4.9 bridge support
updated:
- php 5 compatibility with register globals off
- better bridge compatibilty (for forum and cpg are in different databases -> no table joins possible) -> that fixes the fatal error in the intermediate view and for the subscribtion after commenting

turn notices off if they don't mean anything to you

Siberiantiger

So just replacing the existing files with the new modpack and run upgrade again?

Did you see the last quote on my own post (the one you just replied to) Is this fixed in the new modpack also?

Where can i download this new package?

"Latest 1.4.x [Notes] (2006-05-24 22:48)  cpg1.4.9_modpack_stramm_1.zip" i suppose this is the v1?

Stramm

Download: see sig

the notices... as already said, turn them off in config (they are meant to help devs)

Siberiantiger

is the "stramm_mod1_4_9_bridge_2_fix_cropping" supposed to be a addon to the "stramm_mod1_4_9_bridge_2", meaning overwriting the bridge pack?

I have installed cpg 1.4.9 standard
then overwritten files with the stramm_mod1_4_9_bridge_2 pack, and now i wonder if i need to add the other pack also?
