I didn't read the thread until I realize I couldn't upload my image, but anyhoo since I have created the logo already might as well put it up incase anyone wants to use it.

6 out of 7 contributors have uploaded their work. I will close the uploading stage by the end of the week and then start the voting stage.

Joachim Müller

I have uploaded all contributions from the first round as suggested previously and opened the voting stage.

As some moron has tampered with the voting ability in the first round, I had to change the permissions for voting: newly created accounts are not allowed to vote, but only members who have posted frequently on the board. This is suppossed to make sure that there will be no voting fraud. Additionally, members of special groups (contributors, translators, VIPs, dev team members, GSoC students) are allowed to vote. As an additional precaution against voting fraud we have enabled detailed voting stats - this will enable us to track votings and delete the ones that have been tricked.

This being said, I would like to ask you to visit the album "Coppermine Logo Competition (Second round)" of the demo and vote for all submissions (keep in mind that there are two pages of thumbnails, please pay attention to the second page as well). If you don't have the voting icons ((http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating0.gif), (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating1.gif), (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating2.gif), (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating3.gif), (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating4.gif), (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/images/rating5.gif)) beneath the intermediate-sized view, then you simply don't belong to a group that is allowed to vote (there's no use in complaining here that you can't vote). Everybody else is welcome to vote, preferably for all 17 submissions.

The voting stage of the second round will close by the end of May 2007.

Cheers

Joachim

Good news Joachim!

Let's start voting people  ;D. There are some really good designs so pick the one you like and go for the stars  ;)

Glad to see it all underway.  And thanks for taking the time in making this a more secure voting process.  I gave my comments and ratings for all the other entries.  Taking a second look at some of them really brought up a lot of good thoughts, so I hope everyone goes into that gallery knowing that the logos are NOT 100% final, and could use some feedback if they are a winner :) (to make some final touch-ups).

I'll be back around the end of May to see some results!!! Good luck.

Would it be okay to split these newest posts into a new thread so people don't have to go 6 pages deep to see about this? :)

We have a winner! Voting stage of the second round just has closed. Details: Winner of the Coppermine logo competition 2007. Locking this thread here.
