Impossible to move

Upgraded from 1.2 to 1.4, can no longer upload or batch add pics. Tried setting permissions to 755 and 777, no effect.

How could I test your upload without having permission to create an album ?
testuser didn't have album and didn't have permission to create one !!!

Do exactly as suggested under Upload troubleshooting

you missed:
# Go to the "groups" panel
# Set the upload form configuration for all groups to "Single file uploads only" (set File upload boxes to "1", URI upload boxes to "0" and No. of boxes to "fixed")
# Save your new settings

sikari, when trying to upload I get a
Critical error
Failed to create directory albums/userpics/10004 !

Solution is to porperly chmod directories
