Sort albums Alphabetically doesn't work

I have about 76 albums that have the date as a prefix (2007-01 album name).  In the config page under "Album List View" there is an option "Sort categories alphabetically (instead of custom sort order)" that I have set to yes.  From what I understand, when I chose this option, the arrows should disappear from the albmgr.php page and the albums should sort alphbetically.  However, the togle doesn't seem to have any effect to anything.  The arrows are still there and the albums are still being sorted using the custom order.

Any ideas about how to fix?

Remember that albums are inside categories so when you "Sort categories alphabetically" you are not sorting albums alphabetically...just the categories that contain the albums.  If you have only one category, or they are already displayed in alphabetical order, you won't see a change when you toggle that setting.

so right now I have not created any categories.  All of the albums are in the * No Category * "category".  So there is no way to sort the albums alphabetically instead of custom?

I misread the option under the "albums list" options and thought it was for sorting albums alphabetically and not just the categories.

I would like to do this also as all my albums start like 2005-01-25 xxxxxx, 2008-01-10 xxxxxxx, etc..

Did the other thread help you achieve it?
