Hi

First of all hello everybody.

Now, I would need some help. I just got a new hosting provider and am transferring my coppermine gallery to the new server.
my problem is that the pictures don't move or are not shown. I tried moving the SQL DB and the file, editing the config file to know where to connect and no go, error connecting to the DB.

Ok, so I tried to install a fresh copy of Coppermine, and then transfer the files and the SQL DB, it worked, as far as the connection is concerned but still no pictures, the theme is there, the users are there, just no pics.

Any idea?

This is DB issue IMO
You are connecting to wrong tables I think , check the db again and make sure you are using correct prefix for tables as well

The prefixes are fine, double checked. What else can I look for, what could be the problem, I'm running out of ideas on what to try, beside uploading all of it again.

Sry for dbl post, don't see the edit button anywhere   :P
Could it be that the problem is in the difference in hosting systems. The previous hosting was running Windows and the one I'm on now is running linux.

No , AFAIK the shouldn't be any deferences between mysql under windows and mysql under linux

Use a tool like phpmyadmin to check if you really restored both, the db structure and all the data.
