I get the error "When using the GD image library allowed image types are only JPEG and PNG" when trying to upload a GIF file.

Config Settings:
Accepted file extensions for uploaded pictures: GIF/PNG/JPG/JPEG/TIF/TIFF
Method for resizing images: GD Version 2
New Install

Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks,
Phil

GD does not support GIFs. (only JPEG and PNG) You must use Image Magick if you want them.

This is in the documentation.

Buf GD2 support GIF's!?  ??? Doesn't it?

Casper

No, it only supports gif read, not gif write.
This is due to copyright issues, which should hopefully be finished soon.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

But I suspect most webhosts won't be as quick to change.

Well, mine suports it, and so do others, there should be an option to turn gif support on for those that do.
