I'm trying to bridge my gallery and IPB forum version 2.2.2 together, but they're on different sub-domains, 'http://gallery.' and 'http://forums.' respectively.

Does anyone know how to go about this and what to put into the "Relative path to your BBS's config file:" section?

Joachim Müller

Depends on how your sub-domains are set up on your webserver's disk space. Usually, sub-domains are a representation of sub-folders within the webroot.
Example (taken from a similar posting I just answered): if your forum is located at /home/foobar/public_html/forum/ and your gallery is located at /home/foobar/public_html/gallery/, the relative path would be ../forum/

yeah thats right, and i put in "Relative path to your BBS's config file:".

but when i turn the bridging on it takes me to sign in at the forum from the gallery, but it doesn't take me back to the gallery. Any ideas?

Nibbler

IPB bridge doesn't do redirection after login.

it doesn't log me into the gallery tho. when i try to sign in to the the gallery it re-directs me to the forum, where i can log in for the forum, but it still doesn't log me in to the gallery.

i did read that, but i didn't think it would be appropriate since its an adult gallery and forum. is that not a problem?

If you clearly mention that the site is adult gallery then its not a problem.
