Hi,

I just started with coppermine and now I want to set a basic permission setting and I can't figure out how to do it.

I want users in a specific usergroup to be able to upload pictures to 1 specific album (and only one album)
How can I link 1 album to 1 group? I tried the album properties but there is no way to connect an album to a group and I tried group settings but this only tells me "This group has no special access"

Can someone tell me how I can get it done?

Thanks,
Johan

For that special usergroup allow public uploads on the groups page. Then go to the album properties screen of the album that is suppossed to be the one where your user's uploads go to and set "visitors can upload" to yes. Is being described in the docs and has been asked a thousand imes already on the board. Reading the docs and searching the board is mandatory before posting questions, as supporters are reluctant to answer the same questions over and over again.

But then I want to create 4 albums for four usergroups and each of them should only be allowed to upload to 1 of the 4 albums???
It doesn't work for restraining upload permissions. Once they can upload, they can upload to all albums....

Kind regards,
Johanneman

That's correct. That's how coppermine works. It doesn't have more granular permissions than the one I mentioned. Bottom line: the feature you're looking for isn't available.

Coppermine does not have such a feature in the core code. Upload permission in albums on group basis mod might help you though.
